In July, the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Arts, Health and Wellbeing (APPGAHW) published their Report: ‘Creative Health’

The full report and sumary report are available to dowload here

The  APPGAHW was formed in 2014 and aims to improve awareness of the benefits that the arts can bring to health and wellbeing. During 2015–17, the APPGAHW conducted an Inquiry into practice and research in the arts in health and social care, with a view to making recommendations to improve policy and practice.

The report includes hundreds of interviews and dozens of case studies showing how powerfully the arts can promote health and wellbeing. There is a full section on Museum, Libraries and Health, where Not So Grim Up North is highlighted.

You can also listen to a podcast with Jason S, who took part in the Art and Culture Club delivered by the Whitworth Art Gallery at no the Stroke Unit at Trafford General Hospital.

The Arts for Health Early Career Researcher Network have produced this great short podcast highlighting the reports key findings.
