Nicola Colclough

Nicky is a Visual Artist and Creative Practitioner who specialises in Arts and wellbeing. Her artistic practice focuses on how art can make us feel good by creating experiences for us to enjoy and new connections for us to share. She uses a wide range of media in her work including film, print and installation. She is currently exploring cross-disciplinary and sensory tecniques in her creative practice.

In 2012, Nicky was awarded funding through Arts Council England’s Grants for The Arts to undertake international research in arts and health. This work led her to deliver projects in Japan, Australia and China. Upon her return to the UK she worked with Manchester Museum and the Whitworth Art Gallery to establish the Art in Stroke Recovery programme of work, which she still delivers at the Manchester Royal Infirmary.
